Our Name and Logo
The lotus has been used for centuries as a symbol of the human spirit. It grows in mud but is not even spotted by it. It rests on water but is never stained by it. It rises high above the dirty surroundings it lives in.
We all have a natural ability to rise above our muddied past and bloom beautifully. Our true nature is undefiled, unstained, and pure even though our outer life may be carried on under the most difficult circumstances. We “help people grow” into a person who is aware of and connects with that true nature easily.
The term Neurosomatic means nervous system (or mind) /body. We work with the mind and body connection to help our clients change old ineffective patterns and habits. We then teach our clients techniques learned easily to empower them to continue to grow.
Some examples are:
John learned to rise above the stress at his job to control his blood pressure and bring it back down.
Mary learned to find a peaceful place inside herself in the midst of raising her twins and caring for her husband’s sick mother.
Mark became a pro golfer by becoming more aware of his body and his internal talk, then changing both instantly.
For these three people, the environment didn’t change. John’s boss was still micromanaging him. Mary’s responsibilities continued to pull at her from all directions. Mark still had the same basic skill set in the field. The change was internal. They all learned to connect to something inside to rise above the situation.
That’s why we use the lotus logo and the name.
