About

We use an eclectic system created by Ann Thevenin as the basis for our work called Neurosomatic Accessing.

Neurosomatic Accessing is a system which allows anyone to make behavioral changes easily and quickly. A trained facilitator guides a person into an altered state using hypnosis, guided imagery, or creative suggestion, works with desired behavior change, and utilizes a marker to reinforce positive feelings, insights, or enactment of positive behavior that will lead to successful attainment of the client’s goals.

There is a growing body of scientific work coming from many disciplines regarding the mind and body in relationship to each another. Neurosomatic Accessing Facilitators believe that an individual’s subjective, feeling response is the most important factor in that person’s functioning on any level; physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. We who practice Neurosomatic Accessing believe that each person has deep inner resources from which to draw from, and assist the client in tapping into that  deep creative force for change.

Neurosomatic Accessing is based on an understanding of the physical aspects of the brain, particularly the limbic system, the subconscious mind, early child development, and operant conditioning. The Neurosomatic Accessing Facilitator has an understanding of both our hard and soft wiring- our physical and mental makeup and the all-important subjective response.
